From your cottage itself you will enjoy spotting and listening to many bird species. Within walking distance of the holiday cottages there is excellent birdwatching facilities at Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve, Widdecombe Ley (Beesands) and the RSPB Reserve at Prawle Point. There cannot be a better location to take a bird watching holiday in Devon. We are members of Devon Wildlife Trust, who offer a year round programme of events. There is a comprehensive information pack of walks and flora and fauna in each cottage.
Beeson Farm cottages is in the perfect spot for walking holidays in Devon. The South West Coastal footpath can be joined nearby at Beesands. Information and guides on car free days out, local walks and green lane circular paths around Beeson and the South Hams, cycle routes and hire and historic town trail leaflets are available in each cottage for guests to use during their stay. Dry and secure barn storage for bikes, bike and car roof racks, canoes and parking for dinghys is available at no cost.

Our organic farmer neighbour has established the Underwood Discovery Centre - an educational/rural skill centre focussing on sustainable farming and living. He will be offering occasional escorted farm walks and craft activities such as willow work and cob construction in the school holiday periods.
